Full Valley Roof Replacement

Our team carried out a full valley roof replacement. After clearing all old materials, we reinforced the rafters, upgraded the insulation, and installed a breathable membrane for moisture control.

Client Brief:
We were contacted by a property owner in Newcastle whose valley roof had suffered extensive wear and tear. The existing roof structure was no longer watertight, with failing insulation, visible water damage, and missing or loose coverings. A complete strip and replacement was needed to restore full protection and integrity to the building.

Before:
As shown in the first photo, the roof had been stripped back to its rafters, revealing degraded insulation and significant debris. The valley section between the adjoining slopes showed signs of long-term water ingress — a clear sign that urgent attention was needed to avoid further internal damage.

Work Undertaken:
Our team carried out a full valley roof replacement. After clearing all old materials, we reinforced the rafters, upgraded the insulation, and installed a breathable membrane for moisture control. New lead work was completed along the valleys and wall abutments to ensure long-term waterproofing. Finally, we installed high-quality slate tiles with precision, ensuring a clean, professional finish that enhances drainage and durability.

After:
The second image shows the completed roof — a beautifully restored valley slate roof that not only looks fantastic but provides robust weather protection. The new lead flashing and expertly fitted slates ensure efficient water flow into the valley without leaks or pooling.

Client Outcome:
The client was extremely pleased with the end result. Their Newcastle property now benefits from a fully restored valley roof that is secure, energy-efficient, and built to last.
